Info Edge Venture Investment Fund III with Rs 1,000 Crore Approval
Info Edge Venture Investment Fund III, initiated by Info Edge (India) Limited, the parent entity of Naukri.com, has successfully secured shareholder consent for a significant investment of up to Rs 1,000 crore, approximately $118 million, aimed at fostering startup innovation under the Karkardooma Trust.
As per regulatory disclosures, the resolution attained approval through a postal ballot conducted via remote e-voting, with an overwhelming 99.999% of the valid votes cast in favour. From a total of 129.6 million equity shares, 57.37 million votes were submitted, reflecting a participation rate of 44.28%.
Institutional Support
Public institutional shareholders demonstrated unanimous support for the initiative, while an impressive 99.98% of public non-institutional shareholders also endorsed the proposal.
Fund Management
The management and sponsorship of the new fund will fall under the purview of Smartweb Internet Services Ltd., which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Info Edge.
Past Venture Fund Initiatives
This recent approval follows Info Edge’s announcement that its cumulative investment in Zomato and PB Fintech has reached Rs 31,500 crore, around $3.7 billion, as of March 31, 2025. Info Edge has previously initiated two venture funds – Fund I in 2020 and Fund II in 2024, each concentrating on early- and growth-stage tech startups across various sectors such as consumer internet, SaaS, fintech, and healthtech.
