Kepler Aerospace Secures $8 Million for Next-Gen Space Intelligence

Kepler Aerospace, a leading name in space infrastructure and mission operations, has successfully raised $8 million in a seed funding round headed by Blue Ashva Capital, with contributions from Finvolve India Accelerator and other stakeholders. This funding will be directed towards the advancement and deployment of next-generation space-based persistent Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance capabilities alongside the expansion of its mission operations and avionics-as-a-service offerings, as stated in a company press release.

Company Background and Expertise

Established in July 2018 by Navneet Singh and Kiran Sharma, Kepler Aerospace develops scalable space and ground solutions tailored for strategic, defence, and commercial missions. The company’s expertise encompasses satellite avionics and subsystems, ground support infrastructure, mission operations, and space-driven intelligence.

Technological Innovations

Based in Bengaluru, the startup’s technologies are crafted to prioritize reliability, automation, security, and scalability. This design enables satellite operators and mission stakeholders to manage increasingly sophisticated space missions efficiently. Kepler Aerospace is dedicated to supplying solutions for strategic, defence, and commercial purposes.

Addressing Space Intelligence Demand

Kepler Aerospace is focused on meeting the rising necessity for consistent, low-latency intelligence from space. The aim is to decrease the latency of intelligence from months down to mere minutes through the implementation of persistent ISR systems and integrated mission frameworks.

Contracts and Funding

The company proudly announces the attainment of two IDEX prime contracts to supply swarming ISR constellations to the Indian defence space sector, bolstered by approximately $4 million in grants sourced from the IDEX programme.

Growing Network and Ecosystem

Through a network comprising over 70 ground stations, Kepler delivers satellite communication, tracking, telemetry, command, and mission operation capabilities for an expanding array of space initiatives. The sector is witnessing significant growth as India’s private space landscape evolves, with around 440 space-tech startups registered in the nation as of August 2026.

Other Key Players in Space-Tech

In the vibrant space-tech arena, Digantara, a company focused on space surveillance and intelligence, successfully raised $50 million in a Series B funding round aimed at enhancing its space-based surveillance capabilities, manufacturing resources, and global outreach. Additionally, companies such as OrbitAID, Dhruva Space, Pixxel, GalaxEye, and InspeCity are also advancing capabilities within India’s emerging commercial space economy.
