Khari Foods Secures Seed Funding for Expansion

Khari Foods, a Delhi-based clean-label snacking brand, has successfully secured Rs 3 crore (approximately $350K) in seed funding. This funding round was led by Meri Punji IMF Private Limited.

Investment Purpose and Strategy

The capital raised will be directed towards enhancing research and development efforts, accelerating innovation in new product lines, expanding the team, and scaling marketing and distribution operations, particularly in tier I and tier II cities.

About Khari Foods

Founded in 2022 by Yash and Sunil Bansal, Khari Foods provides a variety of palm oil-free and maida-free snacks. Their product range includes Ragi Crispies, Oats Crispies, Jowar Puffs, and snacks made from dates, specifically designed for health-conscious consumers aged 20-40 in both urban and semi-urban locations.

Growth Potential

Khari Foods is projected to achieve an impressive 208% growth in its annual revenue run rate (ARR) by FY25. Since its inception, the brand has remained self-sustained and profitable.

Manufacturing and Supply Chain Control

The startup operates its own manufacturing facility located in Haryana, thereby maintaining control over its supply chain. The new funding will facilitate the introduction of additional product categories and bolster Khari Foods’ brand presence across various digital and retail platforms.
