PicSee, an advanced AI-driven photo sharing application, is now in beta, thanks to Mayank Bidawatka, a co-founder of Koo. This innovative platform is under his new company, Billion Hearts Software Technologies. PicSee allows users to automatically find and exchange photos with friends through cutting-edge face recognition and AI matching technologies.

Information available on the Play Store reveals that the app provides users access to their friends’ photos only when they reciprocate by sharing their own. Additionally, PicSee includes several features such as device-only storage, end-to-end encryption, screenshot blocking, a 24-hour review period, and an option to recall shared photos.

While currently in beta, PicSee is accessible to both Android and iOS users, although it is yet to have an official launch. Billion Hearts Software Technologies was established in September 2024, following the closure of Koo due to investment challenges and failed acquisition discussions.

In the same month, the company successfully raised about $250,000 in a pre-seed funding round from notable investors, including the founders of redBus, Ola, InMobi, and Myntra. Two months later, Billion Hearts attracted $4 million in a seed funding round led by Blume Ventures, with contributions from General Catalyst and Athera Venture Partners. The company stated that these funds are intended for the development of global technology products and team growth.

PicSee marks the company’s inaugural product. Future updates will introduce AI-driven photo and video editing tools, storage optimisation features, and private social sharing capabilities.

Several Indian startups have achieved substantial funding prior to their public product launches. For example, Peeko garnered $3.2 million in August 2025 ahead of its launch, while Kluisz.ai secured $9.6 million in July 2025 as it emerged from stealth mode. Tyro also raised funding to initiate operations, and All Home, founded by PharmEasy’s co-founders, announced an undisclosed seed round in June 2025 while still in stealth mode.
