Career Journey of Prabhjeet Singh at Uber
Singh joined Uber in August 2015 following a successful tenure at McKinsey & Company, where he served as an Associate Partner. Over the years, he held various leadership roles, culminating in his appointment as President of India and South Asia in July 2020. In his capacity as President, Singh managed Uber’s mobility operations across India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.

Recent Developments at Uber India
Singh’s departure aligns with recent activities at Uber, including a visit by CEO Dara Khosrowshahi to India. During this visit, the announcement of the company’s inaugural data centre in collaboration with Adani Group was made, signalling a significant investment in its technological and infrastructural presence in the country. Additionally, in February, Uber invested nearly Rs 3,000 crore (approximately $330 million) into its Indian subsidiary, Uber India Systems Pvt Ltd, in response to growing competition from rivals such as Rapido.
