Lissun Raises Rs 48 Crore in Series A Funding for Child Development Solutions

Lissun, a health-tech platform devoted to children with special needs and developmental delays, has secured Rs 48 crore in a Series A funding round led by Colossa Ventures. This funding round also included contributions from Physis Capital and other existing investors such as RPSG Capital Ventures, Ivycap Ventures, Rainmatter, Multiply Ventures, and SucSEED Ventures. New entrants like New Age India Fund and Beyond Capital Ventures also joined in.

Funding History and Future Plans of Lissun

The Gurugram-based startup had previously raised $2.5 million in a pre-Series A round, sponsored by RPSG Capital Ventures in September 2024. Additionally, in June of this year, it collected Rs 2.77 crore from Zerodha and other contributors. The newly acquired capital is intended for expanding Sunshine by LISSUN centres in major cities, innovating AI-driven solutions using its unique technology and data, and enhancing clinical procedures throughout its network, as stated by Lissun in an official announcement.

About Lissun and its Child-Care Brand

Founded in 2021 by Krishna Veer Singh and Tarun Gupta, Lissun operates under the child-care brand Sunshine by LISSUN, which manages child development centres across India, in conjunction with digital products and AI-assisted tools. The company reports a fourfold growth over the past year, currently conducting over 10,000 therapy sessions monthly across 25 centres. Lissun aims to increase its physical presence to 50 centres by next year, while its digital products aspire to engage over 10 lakh children in the coming years.

Addressing the Need for Quality Care

India is experiencing a rising demand for advanced developmental and behavioural care for children, but the availability of high-quality and consistent support remains limited and scattered. Lissun is addressing this challenge through its child-care brand, Sunshine by LISSUN, which integrates top-tier therapists and an AI-enhanced ecosystem accessible both in local centres and online.

Competitive Landscape for Lissun

Lissun faces competition from other platforms such as Butterfly Learnings, Continua Kids, Hoola Health, and Children First by Amaha. The single-specialty health-tech sector targeting children with special needs and developmental delays has seen a rise in startups focused on early screening, diagnostic support, therapy, and long-term developmental care for various conditions, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language issues.

Recent Trends in Funding

In the recent funding landscape, Butterfly Learnings obtained Rs 32 crore in Series A funding in 2024, while CureAble raised Rs 2 crore in pre-seed funding in 2025. Gabify gathered $175K in pre-seed funding in 2026. More recently, the paediatric healthcare platform Hoola Health secured $5 million in 2026, providing developmental assessments and therapy services as part of its child-focused care model.
