Moneyview Reduces IPO Size to Rs 750 Crore
Digital lending platform Moneyview has decreased the scale of its planned initial public offering (IPO), halving the fresh issue to Rs 750 crore from the original Rs 1,500 crore set in its draft papers. Additionally, the offer-for-sale (OFS) segment has been trimmed to approximately 10.04 crore shares from up to 13.61 crore shares proposed earlier. This adjusted IPO framework emerges ahead of Moneyview’s public listing, following the fintech firm obtaining approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
Plans for Funds from IPO
The alteration in the fresh issue indicates that Moneyview now intends to generate Rs 750 crore through the issuance of new shares. Initially, the company had allocated the anticipated Rs 1,500 crore proceeds towards expanding its lending services, enhancing its technological infrastructure, and fulfilling general corporate needs.
Changes in Stake Sales
With the reduction in the OFS, several current investors have opted to lessen their planned stake sales. Investors such as Accel, Tiger Global, Crimson Winter, and Ribbit Capital have adjusted their expected stake sales, while the founders’ planned OFS remains constant, as per the newly revised IPO structure. Moneyview originally submitted its draft IPO documents to SEBI in March 2026. At the time, the proposed issue included a fresh issue of Rs 1,500 crore alongside an OFS of up to 13.61 crore shares. Furthermore, the company had retained the option for a pre-IPO placement of as much as Rs 300 crore.
Company Overview
Established by Puneet Agarwal and Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Moneyview runs a digital lending and personal finance platform. This company provides personal loans and various financial products via its platform while collaborating with different lending partners. The trimmed IPO size arrives as numerous Indian fintech firms are preparing to enter the public markets, with investors increasingly focusing on profitability, growth, and valuations.
Financial Performance
Throughout the first nine months of FY26, Moneyview recorded revenue of Rs 2,773 crore, along with profits amounting to Rs 210 crore. The revised issue size will now present investors with a reduced fresh-equity offering, and the decreased OFS will also lessen the volume of shares being divested by existing stakeholders.
