Moneyview’s IPO: A Major Digital Lending Platform Raises Funds
Moneyview, a digital lending platform, has successfully secured Rs 327.5 crore from anchor investors in preparation for its Rs 1,092 crore initial public offering (IPO), which is available for public subscription starting today, September 24. Based in Bengaluru, the fintech firm allocated 9.63 crore shares at Rs 34 each, marking the upper end of its IPO price range, to anchor investors on September 23. This amount was raised from 12 anchor investors, including several prominent large mutual funds and institutional investors.
Anchor Investor Participation
The majority of the allocation went to domestic mutual funds. Notable participants included SBI Mutual Fund, HDFC Mutual Fund, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund, Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund, and Quant Mutual Fund. Other investors in the anchor book featured Goldman Sachs, Amundi Funds, 360 ONE, HDFC Life, and India Acorn Fund.
Details of the IPO
The IPO for Moneyview comes with a price band set between Rs 32-34 per share and will remain open until September 28. The offering comprises a fresh issue of Rs 750 crore and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of approximately 10.04 crore shares, valued at Rs 341.6 crore at the upper price limit.
Utilisation of Funds
Moneyview plans to allocate Rs 325 crore from the fresh issue to facilitate loan disbursals under default loss guarantee (DLG) arrangements. An additional Rs 250 crore will be directed towards its NBFC subsidiary, Whizdm Finance, to bolster its capital base. The remaining funds are earmarked for general corporate purposes.
Valuation and Financial Performance
At the upper end of the price band, Moneyview anticipates a post-issue valuation of approximately Rs 6,000 crore. This figure is considerably lower than the valuation of around $1.2 billion achieved following its last equity funding round in 2024, as reported by Inc42.
The fintech company recorded revenues of Rs 3,351 crore and a profit of Rs 244 crore in FY26. During the June 2026 quarter, its revenue surged by 50.2% year-on-year, reaching Rs 1,041 crore, while profit rose dramatically by 158.8% to Rs 173.8 crore.
