Meesho Sees Significant Stake Divestment by Investors

Meesho has witnessed a notable divestment by its initial investors, Peak XV Partners and Elevation Capital, who sold a total of 2.27% stake in the e-commerce platform through block deals on the NSE, amounting to Rs 1,949.28 crore. As per exchange reports, each investor offloaded 5.24 crore shares at a price of Rs 186 per share, resulting in a total sale of 10.48 crore shares.

Investment Details and Key Buyers

The shares were acquired by a diverse group of institutional investors, both domestic and international. Among the largest purchasers were Axis Mutual Fund and Fidelity. Other noteworthy participants included UTI Mutual Fund, HSBC Mutual Fund, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company, Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund, Edelweiss Mutual Fund, Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance, Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore Pte, Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE, Prudential Hong Kong, Societe Generale, BNP Paribas Financial Markets, Ashoka WhiteOak funds, Ghisallo Master Fund LP, India Acorn Fund, Susquehanna Pacific Pty Ltd, NRSGVCC, and numerous other institutional investors.

Current Shareholding Post Transaction

As of June 2026, Elevation Capital held 12.04% while Peak XV Partners retained 10.06% of their stakes in Meesho. Following this block deal, Elevation Capital decreased its holding by nearly 9.4%, and Peak XV Partners reduced its stake by around 9.9%.

Meesho’s Recent Financial Performance

This transaction occurred shortly after Meesho revealed impressive results for the June quarter. The company reported a 48% increase in operating revenue year-on-year, reaching Rs 3,713 crore in Q1 FY27. Meanwhile, its net loss saw a substantial decrease of 54%, from Rs 289 crore in the previous fiscal year to Rs 133 crore.

Market Capitalisation Overview

At the conclusion of Tuesday’s trading session, Meesho’s shares were valued at Rs 191.88. This valuation brings the company’s market capitalisation to Rs 88,750 crore, which is approximately $9.34 billion.
