Plazza Secures $15 Million in Series A Funding for Rapid Pharmacy Commerce

Plazza, a pharmacy commerce startup, has successfully secured $15 million in a Series A funding round, co-led by Accel, Elevation Capital, and Nexus Venture Partners. Existing investors, including All In Capital and Better Capital, also contributed to this funding initiative.

The new capital will be aimed at enhancing the company’s technology infrastructure, improving its AI-driven inventory and assortment intelligence, developing operational capabilities, and broadening its pharmacy network across new locations.

Established in 2024 by Aman Priyadarshi, Plazza operates as a pharmacy-centric quick commerce platform, prioritising medicine availability through AI-enhanced inventory management and delivering products within 15 to 30 minutes. This latest funding round follows a seed funding round of $1.4 million raised approximately 10 months earlier, led by All In Capital. During that round, Better Capital, along with Tracxn founder Abhishek Goyal, Vivekananda Hallekere, the Singhania family office, and the founders of JK Tyre also participated.

According to the company, each Plazza outlet holds more than 40,000 stock-keeping units (SKUs), which is nearly eight times the inventory found in a standard neighbourhood pharmacy. This extensive inventory purportedly allows for prescription fill rates exceeding 95%, significantly higher than the industry average of 50% to 60%. The startup reported that its gross merchandise value (GMV) surging nearly 27 times from June 2025 to March 2026. Moreover, it noted that repeat customers tend to place orders that are about 30% larger than those made by first-time users.

Plazza indicates that it is filling a significant void in India’s pharmaceutical retail sector, where local pharmacies typically offer around 5,000 medicines, even though the market consists of over 100,000 SKUs.

This funding arrives amidst increasing competition in the rapid medicine delivery space. Flipkart made its entry into this domain with Flipkart Minutes in December 2024, whereas Zepto introduced its pharmacy service in 2025, promising 10-minute medicine deliveries in select cities. Additionally, Blinkit has ventured beyond over-the-counter medicines with trials for prescription medicine delivery in Bengaluru.

Interest from investors in this sector remains robust. For instance, in September 2025, Bengaluru-based online pharmacy PlatinumRx secured $6 million in a funding round led by Stellaris Venture Partners. Similarly, Truemeds raised $85 million in a round led by Accel and Peak XV Partners to bolster its position in the online pharmacy landscape.
