Pluto Insurance has named Abhishek Singh as its new CEO, who comes with approximately 23 years of expertise in the insurance sector. Singh previously worked at Upstox, where he contributed to its insurance division, and he has over 11 years of experience with OneInsure, as noted in his LinkedIn profile.

Pluto is being developed under Raise Financial Services, the parent company of the Dhan stockbroking platform. Earlier this year, Dhan acquired GreenLife Insurance Broking and has since rebranded it as Pluto Insurance.

Throughout his career, Singh has held significant positions at Edelweiss Life Insurance and PNB MetLife, gaining extensive experience in insurance distribution, broking, bancassurance, and forming business alliances.

As CEO of Pluto, Singh aims to develop a technology-driven and AI-centric insurance platform that intends to simplify the process of purchasing and managing insurance. The company’s objective is to decrease complexity, minimise excessive sales interactions, and enhance customer assistance regarding claims, according to Singh’s LinkedIn update.

Leadership in Product and Technology

Ranjeet Walunj, who serves as the Chief Product and Technology Officer at Pluto, will manage the product and technology aspects of the platform, as mentioned in Singh’s post.

Recent Developments

Last month, Raise Financial Services officially rebranded GreenLife Insurance Broking Pvt Ltd, the insurance brokerage it purchased in May, to become Pluto Insurance. Startup Superb was the first to report on this change. Additionally, Raise has plans to invest Rs 100 crore into this newly formed company.
