Pocket FM Appoints Abhilash Padival as CFO
Pocket FM, an audio storytelling platform, has announced the appointment of Abhilash Padival to the role of Chief Financial Officer. This move comes in light of Anurag Sharma’s departure from the position in May this year. Startup Superb initially reported this significant change.
In his capacity as CFO, Padival will oversee Pocket FM’s global financial operations, which will include responsibility for financial strategy, allocation of capital, business planning, investor relations, compliance, and corporate governance.
Prior to joining Pocket FM, Padival accumulated over seven years of experience at Bank of America. In his most recent position, he was at the helm of the bank’s consumer internet investment banking division, where he provided consultancy to numerous Indian startups regarding IPOs, private funding rounds, and mergers and acquisitions.
Before his tenure at Bank of America, Padival occupied various roles at Quess Corp, Altisource, Avendus Capital, and Cyient, focusing on corporate strategy, investments, and mergers and acquisitions.
Rohan Nayak, co-founder and CEO of Pocket FM, expressed that as the company embarks on its next growth phase, bolstering its finance organisation is a crucial step in its strategy to expand internationally while continuing to invest in both technology and content.
