Praan Health Secures Funding to Enhance Chronic Care
Praan Health, a lifestyle-first chronic care platform catering to parents aged 50 and above, has successfully raised Rs 8.5 crore in a seed funding round. This investment was led by Rainmatter Investments, with involvement from WEH Ventures, as well as angel investors like Alakh Pandey and Prateek Maheshwari from PhysicsWallah, alongside Arjun Vaidya and others. The funds will be directed towards bolstering product and technology capabilities, expanding clinical and coaching teams, and enhancing service delivery throughout India, as stated by Praan Health in a press release.

Founded in 2024 by Navneeth Ramprasad, Praan Health aims to enable parents to live longer, healthier, and pain-free lives. The platform integrates physician-led care, clinical nutrition, and strength training, focusing on reversing and managing chronic conditions through lifestyle transformations rather than reliance on hospitals.
Innovative Mobile App Launched
The Bengaluru-based startup has recently introduced its mobile app, a comprehensive platform that empowers young adults to oversee their parents’ health journeys. This includes functionalities such as uploading blood test results, tracking risk scores, and receiving weekly progress updates and doctor consultations.
Personalised Programmes for Diverse Conditions
Utilising an all-encompassing strategy that pairs physician supervision with clinical nutrition and personalised strength training, Praan offers tailored programmes spanning 90, 180, and 365 days for over 25 chronic conditions. These include diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, osteoporosis, and recovery post-surgery.

In under a year, Praan has reportedly assisted more than 1,500 families across India, offering over 50,000 personalised sessions facilitated by a multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, clinical nutritionists, physiotherapists, and strength coaches. The company is dedicated to redefining chronic care in India, shifting the focus from frailty and reliance to strength, vitality, and independence.
