Qualcomm Ventures Sells Shares in Shadowfax Technologies

Qualcomm Ventures has executed a sale of shares in Shadowfax Technologies, amounting to Rs 157.28 crore through an open market transaction. Qualcomm Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of the US-based chipmaker, sold 57.13 lakh shares, which equates to a 0.98% stake, at an average price of Rs 275.30 per share, as detailed in the bulk deal data from the BSE. This follows an earlier stake sale in August when Qualcomm disposed of 75 lakh shares, translating to a 1.28% stake, for Rs 183.85 crore at an average price of Rs 245.13 per share. In total, Qualcomm has divested shares in Shadowfax worth approximately Rs 341 crore across these two transactions. The investor possessed a 2.26% stake in Shadowfax at the close of June 2026.

The most recent sale forms part of a trend of stake divestitures by existing investors in Shadowfax. TPG-backed NewQuest Asia Fund IV has also been actively selling its shares in the logistics firm through various bulk deals. On October 6, NewQuest sold 40 lakh shares of Shadowfax for Rs 114.8 crore at a price of Rs 287 per share. This transaction marked its fourth stake sale in the company within three months. Since July, NewQuest has sold around 2.85 crore shares, consequently reducing its stake by roughly 4.86 percentage points. It held an 11.53% stake as of the end of June 2026.

Shadowfax specializes in logistics services catering to the ecommerce, quick-commerce, and direct-to-consumer (D2C) sectors. Established in 2015 by Abhishek Bansal and Vaibhav Khandelwal, the company operates in over 16,000 pincodes. Recently, Shadowfax announced a consolidated net profit of Rs 65.4 crore for Q1 FY27, a substantial rise compared to Rs 8 crore in the same period the previous year. Operating revenue surged by 65% year-on-year, reaching Rs 1,358 crore during the quarter. Currently, shares of Shadowfax are being traded at Rs 296.15, with a total market capitalization of Rs 17,391 crore.
