Raghu Vamsi Aerospace Group Raises $40 Million in Series B Funding

Raghu Vamsi Aerospace Group, a leader in precision manufacturing and deeptech, has secured $40 million (approximately Rs 400 crore) during a Series B funding round co-led by Norwest and Skegen Asset Management. The funding round also included participation from Indus Bridge Ventures, GJNX Ventures, and Ashish Kacholia.

As detailed in the company’s press release, the newly acquired capital will facilitate the expansion of manufacturing capabilities across its locations in India, the UK, and the US. In addition, it aims to accelerate the development of a new integrated manufacturing facility and bolster its Mission Systems, Deep Tech, and Autonomous Systems divisions.

About Raghu Vamsi Aerospace Group

Founded by Vamsi Vikas, RVAG is headquartered in Hyderabad and focuses on manufacturing precisely engineered components for the aerospace and defence sectors. The company operates over 10 facilities across India, the UK, and the US, supplying components and sub-assemblies to leading global aerospace OEMs, such as GE Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, Honeywell, Safran, and Collins Aerospace. Additionally, it caters to energy firms, including Baker Hughes, Halliburton, SLB, and GE.

The firm currently boasts an order backlog exceeding Rs 2,500 crore.

Comprehensive Aerospace Manufacturing Solutions

RVAG provides complete aerospace manufacturing services, which encompass design, engineering, testing, and assembly. Their technologies encompass CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, composites, electronics, gears, fasteners, and NADCAP-approved special processes.

Diversification into Mission Systems and Deeptech

In addition to contract manufacturing, RVAG has diversified into mission systems and deeptech. The company’s innovative portfolio includes micro turbojet engines, aircraft hydraulic pumps, missile subsystems, and autonomous platforms such as IC and jet-powered drones, as well as unmanned ground vehicles for the Indian armed forces.

Collaborations with Leading Institutions

RVAG has established partnerships with prestigious institutions including IITs and IIITs, alongside research organisations like ARCI and key defence agencies, including ADA and DRDO.
