Voice-first conversational commerce is revolutionising the shopping experience, and Razorpay has teamed up with Sarvam, a comprehensive sovereign AI platform, to facilitate this innovative approach. This collaboration allows individuals to discover products, initiate orders, and complete payments using natural language interactions.
The combination of Sarvam’s sophisticated AI models and Razorpay’s extensive payments infrastructure supports multilingual transactions across various Indian languages. This initiative aims to streamline the online shopping experience significantly.
Initial Rollout with Swiggy
As part of the initial phase, Swiggy will be integrated into Sarvam’s chat platform, Indus App. This will empower users to place food orders by conversing with a voice-enabled AI assistant. The integration emphasizes the transition towards voice-led interactions in daily transactions.
Three-Tier Rollout Strategy
The collaboration will unfold in three distinct layers:
- Conversational commerce will be introduced within the Indus App, beginning with Swiggy.
- Businesses will gain the capability to incorporate voice-led commerce features into their applications and websites.
- A conversational voice assistant has already been piloted on The Derma Co’s website, enabling users to explore products and complete purchases through voice communications.
Empowering Businesses with AI Integration
In the final stage, Sarvam’s AI stack will be integrated into Razorpay’s Agent Studio. This will provide businesses and developers with the tools to create multilingual AI agents capable of engaging with users and executing transactions with ease.
The overarching goal of this partnership is to foster AI-native commerce experiences, where interactions through conversation replace traditional app interfaces for everyday transactions.
