Shiprocket Shows Progress Towards Profitability in Q1 FY27




Logistics and ecommerce enablement platform Shiprocket is demonstrating advancements towards profitability in its initial quarterly outcomes following its public offering. The consolidated net loss of the company decreased by 24% year-on-year to Rs 13.7 crore in Q1 FY27, down from Rs 18 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Shiprocket’s revenue from operations increased by 33.8%, reaching Rs 592 crore, compared to Rs 442 crore in Q1 FY26, based on the unaudited results submitted to the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

Transaction Volume and Merchant Growth

According to the investor presentation, Shiprocket processed 216 million transactions, achieving a GMV of Rs 34,662 crore and maintaining 2.24 lakh active merchants in Q1 FY27. The revenue from its core business surged by 22% year-on-year to Rs 412 crore, while revenue from other emerging sectors experienced substantial growth of 70%, amounting to Rs 180 crore during the quarter.

Cost Structure and Expenditure

On the expenditure front, the cost associated with merchant solutions was the highest, totalling Rs 441 crore, whereas employee benefits amounted to Rs 106 crore. Overall, total expenditure rose to Rs 619 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 474 crore a year prior.

Adjusted EBITDA Performance

Meanwhile, Shiprocket’s adjusted EBITDA recorded a positive value of Rs 8.9 crore during the quarter, an improvement from Rs 1 crore in the same period last year. The company indicated that it remained adjusted EBITDA positive throughout the entire quarter.

Market Performance Post-IPO

These results follow Shiprocket’s debut in the stock market, marking the June quarter as a significant initial test for the company as a publicly traded entity. The company was trading at Rs 138.49 at 10:48 AM, resulting in a total market capitalisation of Rs 10,076 crore ($1.04 billion).
