Snap-E Cabs Secures $2.5 Million for EV Mobility Expansion

Snap-E Cabs, a notable player in the electric mobility sector, has successfully garnered $2.5 million in a bridge funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures, with additional backing from ah! Ventures and several angel investors, including Shish Kharesiya, Praveen Chand, and Jaspreet Kaur. Earlier in February of the previous year, the startup had also secured $2.5 million in pre-Series A funding from Inflection Point Ventures, facilitating its launch in Delhi through a partnership with Rapido, during which 200 electric vehicles were deployed over a period of three months.

The fresh funding will focus on product innovation, increasing the leasing of electric vehicles, and expanding its footprint in the Delhi NCR region. Founded in 2022 by Mayank Bindal and Mahendra Bindal, Snap-E Cabs functions as an EV-centric ride-hailing service while also leasing electric vehicles to fleet owners. The company maintains complete ownership of its fleet and has established its own EV charging infrastructure.

Current Operations and Future Plans

At present, Snap-E operates 1,112 electric vehicles, catering to over 1.2 million users who pay for their services. In the upcoming year, Snap-E aims to increase its fleet by an additional 1,000 vehicles to address the supply challenges in the EV ride-hailing sector. The organisation has also declared that it achieved EBITDA profitability as of January 2025.

Competitive Landscape in the EV Mobility Market

Snap-E is navigating a highly competitive environment within the electric vehicle mobility market, competing against major players such as Uber, Ola, Rapido, Evera Cabs, and BluSmart, which unfortunately folded earlier in 2025. The strategy of Snap-E diverges from that of demand aggregators, as it opts for a supply-led infrastructure model, equipped with dedicated charging stations and complete fleet ownership.
