TruNativ, a clean-label nutrition brand, has successfully secured $30 million in a funding round led by OrbiMed Advisors LLC, a global investment firm focused on healthcare. This investment comprises both a primary capital injection and the sale of secondary shares by early investors in the company.
Utilising Funds for Growth
The newly acquired funds are earmarked to enhance the brand’s offline distribution network, broaden its product offerings, and accelerate its expansion in both domestic and international markets.
A Brand Committed to Health and Nature
Established by Pranav Malhotra and Mamta Malhotra in 2019, TruNativ is based in Mumbai and focuses on providing transparent, nutritionally-balanced, and healthy food alternatives for individuals who value wellness and environmental sustainability. The brand sells its products directly through its website as well as various e-commerce platforms.
Expanding Beyond Digital
TruNativ aims to extend its reach beyond its initial digital-first approach and solidify its presence in physical retail spaces. This funding round is also expected to bolster brand-building activities and improve consumer access to its array of nutritional products.
Previous Funding Milestones
In November 2024, Zerodha-backed early-stage venture firm Rainmatter invested Rs 10 crore into TruNativ during an equity funding round. In addition, the brand raised an undisclosed sum in a seed funding round back in April 2021.
