Turtlemint Achieves Milestone in Insurance Distribution
Shares of insurance distribution platform Turtlemint rose over 10% on Monday, following the announcement that the firm anticipates profitability for the complete financial year FY27. This expected growth is primarily due to the rapid expansion of its policy renewal segment.
The stock reached an intraday peak of Rs 154.30 on the BSE, nearing its 52-week high, after insights were released by The Economic Times. As highlighted in the ET report, Turtlemint’s renewal portfolio has become a significant growth contributor, creating consistent revenue streams and enhancing the company’s operating leverage.
Key Insights from Turtlemint’s Leadership
Founder and CEO Dhirendra Mahyavanshi remarked that the organisation is well-positioned to achieve its first full year of profitability in FY27, as renewals are becoming an increasingly vital component of its overall business strategy.
Recent Financial Performance
This optimistic outlook followed the company’s report of its inaugural profitable quarter in Q4 FY26. Turtlemint recorded a net profit of Rs 3.1 crore in the March quarter, a significant improvement compared to a loss of Rs 39.4 crore in the same quarter last year. Moreover, operating revenue saw a substantial rise of 42% year-on-year, amounting to Rs 357.2 crore. This turnaround can be attributed to enhanced renewal income, greater operational efficiency, and a deferred tax credit.
