Ultraviolette Raises $85 Million for Electric Mobility Expansion
Ultraviolette, a pioneering electric mobility startup, has successfully raised $85 million in a funding round spearheaded by Yali Capital and TDK Ventures. The investment saw participation from Walden International chairman Lip-Bu Tan and existing backers.
Use of Funds
The Bengaluru-based company plans to utilise this new capital to boost production of its cutting-edge F77 and X-47 electric motorcycles, alongside its forthcoming Tesseract scooter and Shockwave enduro motorcycle. Additionally, the funding will facilitate the development of next-generation electric vehicle platforms focusing on battery technology, power electronics, vehicle architecture, and sophisticated software.
Market Expansion Goals
Ultraviolette aims to penetrate the US market by 2027, while also planning expansions into Latin America and Southeast Asia. Currently, the brand offers its electric motorcycles in India and 20 European nations.
Recent Manufacturing Developments
This fundraising comes on the heels of Ultraviolette’s announcement regarding a new manufacturing facility, which will have an annual production capacity of up to 500,000 units.
Funding Journey
The recent round follows a previous $66 million raised in the active Series E funding process, which included $21 million from TDK Ventures and $45 million from Zoho Corporation and Lingotto. With this latest investment, Ultraviolette has garnered a total of $151 million through these announced fundraising efforts since August 2025.
