InstaHelp Reports Revenue Growth in Q4 FY26

InstaHelp, a quick service housekeeping segment of Urban Company, recorded operating revenue of Rs 9 crore from 27 lakh orders during the final quarter of FY26, according to information from the shareholders’ letter. This indicates an earnings rate of Rs 33.3 per order processed through InstaHelp.

Financial Overview and Future Targets

The letter noted that InstaHelp aims to achieve adjusted EBITDA breakeven by Q3 FY28, despite facing significant cash burn. In Q4 FY26, the segment incurred losses amounting to Rs 119 crore. Urban Company referred to InstaHelp as its “most aggressive investment” and anticipates that losses may continue to rise in upcoming quarters due to ongoing expenditures on customer acquisition, market expansion, and supply chain onboarding.

Order Growth and Transaction Value

The platform experienced rapid growth throughout the quarter, with order volume increasing nearly 66% sequentially, rising from 1.6 million in Q3 FY26 to 2.7 million in Q4 FY26. March alone accounted for over 1.1 million of those orders, while the vertical achieved a net transaction value (NTV) of approximately Rs 40 crore.

Marketing Expenditures and Customer Retention

Urban Company indicated that the surge in losses is primarily due to aggressive marketing strategies aimed at facilitating customer trials, alongside increased onboarding costs and diminished average order values stemming from these trial users. The adjusted EBITDA loss per order grew by 17% quarter-on-quarter, increasing from Rs 381 to Rs 447.

Indications of User Retention

Urban Company also highlighted early signs of robust user retention, with monthly retention rates ranging between 30% and 33%. Retained users placed an average of approximately 2.5 orders each month. Moreover, over 30% of orders made in March were fulfilled at or above the target average order value (AOV) of Rs 200.

Core Business Performance

In spite of the losses experienced by InstaHelp, Urban Company’s core business, excluding this segment, reported an adjusted EBITDA of Rs 106 crore during FY26. The company concluded the year with Rs 2,021 crore in cash, asserting its strong financial position to support InstaHelp’s growth initiatives.
