Urban Harvest Plans to Raise Rs 341.4 Crore in Series D Funding
B2B food-tech startup Urban Harvest is gearing up to secure Rs 341.4 crore or $35.9 million in a Series D funding round. Info Edge is leading this round, with contributions from Sandeep Kapadia, J & A Partners, alongside numerous other backers.
The board at Urban Harvest is set to evaluate the approval for the issuance of 42,013 Series D compulsorily convertible preference shares (CCPS) at an issued price of Rs 81,260 each to raise this capital, as detailed in its regulatory filings reviewed by Startup Superb.
This funding round is spearheaded by Info Edge with an investment of Rs 30 crore, trailed by Sandeep Kapadia and J & A Partners, who plan to invest Rs 27 crore and Rs 25 crore, respectively. Renu Sehgal Trust and Lc Nueva Advisors are also joining in with contributions of Rs 20.01 crore each. Other significant investors include Saburi Projects LLP with Rs 15 crore, Madhuri Madhusudan Kela at Rs 13.09 crore, and Viral Amal Parikh at Rs 11.56 crore. The Gauri Khan Family Trust will participate with Rs 5.01 crore. In total, 58 investors are expected to contribute to this funding round.
According to estimates from Startup Superb, the valuation of Urban Harvest is projected to be around Rs 1,541 crore or $162 million following the Series D funding. The startup intends to utilise these fresh funds for its business growth and expansion, satisfy working capital needs, bolster marketing efforts, and for general corporate purposes.
Founded in 2019, Urban Harvest is a B2B food-tech platform supplying fresh produce, food ingredients, and automated coffee machines to restaurants and cloud kitchens. The platform operates a quick-commerce model specifically targeting the HoReCa segment, catering to around 16,000 restaurants every month across various cities.
Urban Harvest currently manages five dark warehouses in four cities and aims to establish five more as it ventures into new markets. Moreover, the company owns the packaged water brand Hello Fresh and has acquired the gourmet food brand Cocosutra for Rs 2.5 crore through an all-cash transaction.
Post the allotment of the Series D shares, Info Edge will possess an 18.83% stake, followed by Sandeep Kapadia at 5.01%, Madhuri Madhusudan Kela at 4.25%, Viral Amal Parikh at 3.75%, and J & A Partners at 3.12%. Mint had reported earlier that Urban Harvest was in discussions to raise Rs 300 crore.
As per the report, Urban Harvest’s revenue soared to Rs 385 crore in FY26, a substantial increase from Rs 118 crore in FY25, while it reported a profit of Rs 3.5 crore, reversing a loss of Rs 35 lakh from the previous fiscal year.
