VibeCon India: AI Software Creation Platform Emergent’s Hackathon
VibeCon India, hosted by the AI software creation platform Emergent, is set to take place on April 16–17 in Bengaluru, introducing its premier selection-led hackathon to the region. The team that emerges victorious will gain a direct interview with a Y Combinator partner for an upcoming batch.
This event is strategically scheduled just before Y Combinator’s inaugural in-person Startup School India on April 18, creating an intensive week designed to unite founders, engineers, and operators focused on building and testing innovative ideas.
Purpose and Structure of VibeCon India
VibeCon is intentionally crafted as a high-signal hackathon that emphasises outstanding builders and concrete outcomes rather than open participation. The India edition employs a stringent application and selection process aimed at identifying founders, engineers, operators, and non-technical builders who can swiftly transform concepts into functioning products.
Over 20,000 applicants from both India and other countries submitted their applications, with a curated group chosen to take part in Bengaluru.
Partnership and Support for VibeCon India
VibeCon India benefits from a broad network of ecosystem partners spanning venture capital, AI research, and developer infrastructure. Notable partners include Lightspeed Venture Partners, Together Fund, OpenAI, Anthropic, Amazon Web Services, Stripe, Razorpay, MongoDB, Starknet, Eigencloud, and Temporal Technologies. These collaborators will offer mentorship, tools, and technical support during the hackathon.
Teams that win will not only receive cash prizes but also gain access to partner-backed credits and resources to facilitate ongoing product development.
Through VibeCon India, Emergent seeks to enhance the connections between India’s builder community and the worldwide startup ecosystem, streamlining the transition from ideas to viable companies.
