Slice Reports Strong Profits in FY27

Slice has seen remarkable progress as a digital banking platform, kicking off FY27 with a noteworthy net profit of Rs 50.9 crore in Q1 FY27. Last fiscal year, the bank achieved a total net profit of Rs 48.4 crore, a significant improvement from a loss of Rs 217 crore recorded in FY25.

Growth in Total Income

In Q1 FY27, Slice’s total income experienced a substantial increase of 38.6% year-on-year, reaching Rs 413.8 crore compared to Rs 298.6 crore in the same quarter the previous year. Sequentially, income rose by 3.5% from Rs 399.7 crore reported in Q4 FY26.

Profit Before Tax Analysis

The profit before tax for Slice was reported at Rs 49.1 crore during the last quarter, marking a remarkable recovery from a loss of Rs 10.1 crore in Q1 FY26. Notably, the bank’s profit for Q1 this year exceeded the full FY26 net profit of Rs 48.4 crore.

Significant Loan Growth

Slice’s gross loan book surged by 55% year-on-year, reaching Rs 5,098 crore as of June 2026, up from Rs 3,284 crore a year earlier. The bank saw deposits nearly double to Rs 5,765 crore from Rs 3,038 crore in the same timeframe.

Improved Asset Quality

The quality of assets has also shown a positive trend, with gross NPA decreasing to 4.36% from 6.31% as of June 2025. Similarly, net NPA saw a reduction to 3.24% from 4.66%. Additionally, the bank’s net worth is now at Rs 896 crore, accompanied by a capital adequacy ratio of 18.2%.

Full-Stack Banking Services

Following its merger with North East Small Finance Bank, Slice now operates as a full-stack bank, providing savings accounts, fixed deposits, UPI services, credit products, and various other banking solutions.

Recent Innovations and Funding

The Bengaluru-based institution has recently launched a UPI-enabled bank branch in Bengaluru and has made its UPI credit card accessible to all users following a phased rollout. To date, Slice has successfully raised nearly $400 million in funding, including a significant $220 million Series B round led by Tiger Global and Insight Partners.
