This updated model is available in 13-inch and 15-inch sizes, and it comes at a new lower starting price of ₹99,900 compared to ₹1,14,900 for its predecessor, making it an even more appealing choice for students, professionals, and everyday users.
Enhanced Performance with M4 Chip
With the introduction of the M4 chip, featuring a 10-core CPU and up to a 10-core GPU, the MacBook Air delivers enhanced power. The device now starts with 16GB of RAM, an improvement over the previous model which began with only 8GB of RAM. First unveiled in the iPad Pro in 2024, the M4 chip on the new MacBook Air can be upgraded to boast 32GB of unified memory. Apple has maintained its promise of an impressive 18 hours of battery life on a single charge.
New Colour and Design Features
The MacBook Air’s colour palette has been expanded with the addition of ‘Sky Blue,’ a stylish metallic light blue that joins the existing colour options of Midnight, Starlight, and Silver. Besides this new colour update, the design of the 2025 model remains unchanged from its predecessors.
Expanded Display Capabilities
The latest MacBook Air now accommodates up to two external 6K displays, a significant upgrade that will benefit both multitaskers and professionals who require additional screen real estate.
Pricing and Availability
The 13-inch MacBook Air equipped with the M4 chip, a 10-core CPU, an 8-core GPU, 16GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage starts at ₹99,900.
The base configuration for the 15-inch variant includes a 10-core CPU, a 10-core GPU, 16GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage, with a starting price of ₹1,24,900, reflecting a ₹10,000 decrease from the 15-inch M3 MacBook Air.
Pre-orders for the MacBook Air are now available, and the device is set to launch on 12 March.
