Double Claude Limits from Anthropic for Users

Double Claude limits are now being implemented by Anthropic as a way to show appreciation to its dedicated users. This increase in user limits is applicable across all subscription tiers—Free, Pro, Max, and Team—from March 13 to March 27, enabling users to utilise double their usual limits during off-peak hours.

Availability of Double Limits

The additional limit is effective outside of busy weekday hours, specifically from 8 AM to 2 PM ET (6:30 PM IST to 11:30 PM IST), allowing users to take advantage of AI resources at twice the normal capacity during these periods. Notably, there is no need for users to adjust any settings, as the elevated limits are automatically applied.

Multiple Platforms Supported

What enhances the appeal of this offer is that it is accessible across different platforms, including Claude’s web version, desktop app, and mobile applications. Moreover, the limit extends to Claude’s various tools such as Cowork, Claude Code, Claude for Excel, and Claude for PowerPoint.

Anthropic’s Thank-You Gesture

Anthropic’s decision to provide a double user limit serves as a token of gratitude to its users. The company made an announcement on X (formerly Twitter) regarding this new temporary benefit. The shared post indicated that it is “a small thank you to everyone using Claude: We’re doubling usage outside our peak hours for the next two weeks.”

Previous User Appreciation Initiatives

This isn’t the first time that Anthropic has expressed appreciation towards its users; a similar initiative took place in December 2025. During that period, the company doubled limits for Pro and Max subscribers from December 25 to December 31. However, this latest promotion extends beyond subscribers, now including Free and Team plan holders, leaving only Enterprise customers outside this benefit.

Context of Current Promotions

As Anthropic navigates challenges related to the U.S. military and the ongoing “supply chain risk” concerns, it has gained significant attention for declining an AI contract. In contrast, OpenAI quickly secured a partnership with the U.S. military, prompting many users to transition from ChatGPT to Claude. Although Anthropic has not officially linked its recent promotion to these ongoing issues, the timing seems to align with the increasing interest in the chatbot.
