Women in Tech is at the forefront of the new Accelerator Program launched by Propel Incubator at BML Munjal University (BMU) in partnership with Ideabaaz. This 12-week initiative is tailored to support women-led technology startups, offering structured mentorship, access to industry resources, investor-readiness assistance, and increased visibility on a national level.

Addressing Challenges for Women Entrepreneurs

This accelerator is designed to tackle the major challenges confronted by women entrepreneurs, which often include restricted access to funding, lack of industry connections, mentorship opportunities, and avenues for growth. By providing a well-structured platform for business acceleration, it aims to facilitate market expansion, industry integration, and investor relationships, empowering founders to cultivate scalable and sustainable businesses.

Showcasing Innovative Startups

Startups selected for the program will have the chance to present their projects nationally during Season 2 of Ideabaaz, gaining exposure before investors, industry leaders, and a television audience. The inaugural group will feature five women-led startups, each working on technology-driven solutions in diverse fields such as climate tech, healthcare and MedTech, artificial intelligence, DeepTech, sustainability, automation and robotics, EdTech, and social innovation.

Building on Past Success

This initiative builds upon the achievements of Ideabaaz Season 1, which included 86 startups and successfully facilitated deals totalling Rs 41 crore, with one significant investment of Rs 8.5 crore.

A Commitment to Innovation

Davinder Singh, CEO of Incubation and Professor at the School of Management at BML Munjal University, expressed enthusiasm about the new program. He stated that the Women in Tech Accelerator Program is focused on equipping founders with the necessary mentorship, industry connections, and investor readiness to fuel growth and transform innovative concepts into scalable enterprises. This initiative aligns with their dedication to promoting innovation-driven entrepreneurship and fostering meaningful impacts through technology.

Support for Startups at BMU

Over the last five years, BMU’s Propel Incubator has provided assistance to over 110 startups, enabling them to secure more than Rs 110 crore in external funding. This partnership merges incubation knowledge, access to investors, mentoring, and visibility for entrepreneurs, reinforcing the evolution of women-led enterprises throughout India.
