AI Impact Summit 2026: Zepto’s Rapid Delivery Ecosystem Takes Centre Stage

The AI Impact Summit 2026 has successfully concluded three days filled with groundbreaking reveals, interactive demonstrations, and discussions on artificial intelligence. While AI captivated audiences, Zepto’s swift delivery model provided a welcome service for participants. Located at Bharat Mandapam, the store ensured that attendees had access to quick snacks, drinks, and essential items in a matter of minutes.

Exploring the Zepto Dark Store

Startup Superb had the opportunity to visit the Zepto dark store, conveniently positioned just outside Hall 3 of Bharat Mandapam. This store is stocked with a variety of essentials, ranging from snacks and beverages to energy drinks, stationery, and even tech items like power banks. The 1200 sq ft facility also features a Zepto cafe, offering freshly brewed coffee, ready-to-eat meals, and quick bites.

Operations of Zepto Dark Store at the AI Summit

Attendees can effortlessly place their orders using the Zepto app, designating their specific hall number as the delivery location. Each hall has a designated pick-up point for order collection. During the summit, Zepto efficiently delivers orders in approximately 15 minutes, a remarkable feat given the substantial attendee traffic and the complexities of managing operations in a large venue.

It has been reported that around 50 staff members were assigned to manage tasks including item collection, packing, and delivery to the attendees. Once an order is made, it appears on the workers’ handheld devices, directing them through the quickest route on the shelves and avoiding unnecessary backtracking. The staff highlighted that the device displays one item at a time to ensure greater efficiency.

Once the products are located, they are scanned from the shelves and packed into tagged bags. Instead of weaving through crowds to locate individuals, delivery personnel are responsible for transporting orders to 11 specified pick-up points throughout the venue.
