AI-Enabled Ray-Ban Smart Glasses Experience at MWC 2025
AI technology took the spotlight as Union Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia engaged with Ray-Ban’s AI-enabled smart glasses at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 held in Barcelona, Spain. The minister tested the device’s AI features, interacting with the smart technology while sharing his insights.
Scindia shared a video on Instagram showcasing his experience with the glasses, where he wrote, “Had an insightful time trying out the AI-enabled Ray-Ban Meta glasses at the Mobile World Congress 2025.”
In this video, Scindia conversed with the AI assistant in the Ray-Ban glasses, asking it to identify the nationality of individuals around him. Despite his inquiries, the AI provided some responses that were not completely accurate.
He further explained, “Directly asked the glasses to guess the nationality of people around me – not quite accurate yet, but a fascinating glimpse into the future of smart tech!”
To challenge the AI further, Scindia gave clues indicating that the individuals nearby were not from Asia and humorously questioned if they could possibly be from outer space. This interaction illustrated both the capabilities and limitations of AI-driven wearables.
