Lumio: Revolutionising Smart TVs for Indian Consumers

Lumio, a promising consumer technology startup, has been founded by ex-executives from both Flipkart and Xiaomi. The brand emerged to address the challenges Indian smart TV users often encounter, including sluggish speeds and prolonged loading times.

Lumio has been generating excitement around its inaugural line of smart TVs and recently confirmed the launch date for April 10, 2025. The new lineup will be known as Lumio Vision, as highlighted in the teaser video released by the company.

Innovative Smart TV Features

A few weeks back, Lumio hosted a briefing event where the company’s innovative features were put on display. During this showcase, Lumio announced that its smart TVs are claimed to be twice as fast as Sony and other top brands when it comes to launching applications such as Netflix or restarting the television.

Performance Comparison with Sony Bravia

In a live demonstration, Lumio compared its smart TV performance to that of a Sony Bravia. The results showed Lumio’s TV significantly outpaced the Sony model in loading various applications, suggesting that Lumio has effectively tackled a major concern for Indian smart TV users.

Additionally, Lumio asserts that its TVs experience twelve times fewer frame drops during 4K 60fps YouTube video playback, alongside achieving 2.1 times quicker Wi-Fi throughput speeds.
