Following notable departures among executives and reports indicating a reduction in operations, it has been suggested that OnePlus is merging with Realme, even impacting its Chinese market business.
According to a tipster known as Digital Chat Station on Weibo (as reported by Android Authority), the merger between OnePlus and Realme is said to be official. The expectation is that the two smartphone brands will merge their worldwide and Chinese operations under a new internal department referred to as a “sub-product centre.”

In a separate report, it has been suggested that Pete Lau, co-founder of OnePlus and a prominent figure within the broader BBK ecosystem, will oversee the operations of the combined smartphone brands.
Further transitions involve Li Jie, president of OnePlus China, stepping up to lead the product centre, while Wang Wei, the former vice president of Realme, is anticipated to assume the position of deputy general manager. Meanwhile, Li Bingzhong, the founder of Realme, is likely to take charge of the business, with Xu Qi possibly handling marketing and services for both OnePlus and Realme.
