Oracle Job Offers Revoked at IITs and NITs
Oracle has recently retracted job offers made to students across IITs and National Institutes of Technology (NITs). This decision comes shortly after the company announced global layoffs affecting over 30,000 employees. A student from NIT expressed his experience on LinkedIn, mentioning that this decision significantly affected him and many others who had tailored their career paths around the job offer.
Student Experiences with Revoked Offers
On the professional networking platform, Aditya Kumar Barawal shared that his pre-placement offer from Oracle was withdrawn due to internal restructuring and changes in the company’s hiring policies. In his post, he remarked that while this setback was challenging, he remains hopeful and determined to continue learning and progressing in his career.
Official Communication from Oracle
The student also provided a screenshot of the official communication from the institution, which detailed the company’s difficult decision. The letter stated that the recruiting organisation, Oracle, had recently cancelled the offers made to these students without any fault on their part.
It further noted that this development occurred at a critical time when the institutional placement cycle was nearing its end. With the campus placement drive already underway, the impacted candidates are now faced with increased pressure and uncertainty while trying to secure job opportunities in a challenging market.
