ChatGPT Apple Music Integration Expands Music Discovery
The renowned AI-driven tool, ChatGPT, now features Apple Music integration, allowing users to curate playlists and search for songs, albums, and artists effortlessly. Previously, the AI chatbot supported various apps such as Spotify, Canva, and Booking.com, and now Apple Music is added to enhance music discovery experience directly within the chat interface.
Apple Music Integration with ChatGPT is Available
Apple Music can now be incorporated into ChatGPT via the Settings menu on Mac, the web, or an iPhone. Users will find the music streaming service listed among the other available app options. To begin using this feature, users must log in to their Apple account and grant permission for ChatGPT to access Apple Music for effective music discovery.
Interact with Music Even Without a Subscription
Users can engage with the app through ChatGPT even if they do not hold an Apple Music subscription. This does not mean that ChatGPT will play songs directly, but it will provide previews of tracks. Users can prompt ChatGPT for requests like “Create a 30-song rock and roll Christmas playlist on Apple Music, avoiding clichés,” or “Create Barney’s Get Psyched Mix from How I Met Your Mother,” making their engagement more tailored.
Understanding the Limits of Integration
It is important to note that ChatGPT does not access the user’s existing Apple Music listening habits or library. Instead, it focuses on adding new content based on the user’s prompts. Previously, ChatGPT users could only use Spotify for music streaming; now, with the addition of Apple Music, they can choose their preferred app to create playlists and discover new music.
