Spotify has launched an updated subscription portfolio for India, featuring three new Premium tiers that provide increased flexibility and a more tailored listening experience. The new offerings, Premium Lite, Premium Standard, and Premium Platinum, are designed to cater to a diverse user base, from first-time streamers to committed audiophiles seeking high-quality sound and advanced tools.
Details of Spotify’s Subscription Tiers
Premium Lite, available at a price of Rs 139, targets users who are starting their journey into ad-free streaming. Premium Standard, priced at Rs 199, enhances the listening experience by including high-quality audio and offline access to songs, playlists, and podcasts. A special student plan is also offered at Rs 99. At the most premium level is Premium Platinum, costing Rs 299, which delivers the highest range of features available on Spotify in India.
Introduction of Lossless Audio and Enhanced Features
The Premium Platinum tier signifies the introduction of Lossless Audio in India, permitting subscribers to enjoy music in full, uncompressed quality for the first time. This plan additionally features an AI DJ, integrations with third-party DJs, mixing tools, and access to AI playlists. Subscribers also benefit from two extra household seats and an extensive array of discovery and personalisation tools.

Recognising that each listener has unique preferences, the company aims to provide substantial choice, flexibility, and control through the different plans, ensuring that Spotify can meet the needs of every individual while strengthening their connection to the music and creators they cherish.
