Airtel Offers Free Perplexity Pro for 12 Months

Earlier this year, Airtel introduced a free Perplexity Pro subscription for both prepaid and postpaid customers, enabling users to access the AI chatbot at no cost. Recently, Perplexity has begun sending communications to Airtel users, emphasising the necessity of providing a valid payment method to maintain access to the Pro version without charge. This requirement was not mentioned at the time of the collaboration announcement in July.

Airtel & Perplexity Free Pro Plan Revised: New Card Requirement Introduced

Perplexity has informed Airtel users about the modifications to its policy regarding the free Pro subscription. The AI company is requesting that users input credit or debit card details to retain access to the Perplexity Pro trial. According to the notification, Perplexity stated that the company is revising the trial process to ensure it is available to genuine users. Users need to have a valid payment method to keep their trial active.

While there will be no charges incurred during the trial period, users should be aware that they will be billed once the trial concludes. The subscription will automatically renew unless the user decides to cancel it. In addition to the email notifications, Perplexity has updated its support page to clarify the new criteria for the free trial, stating that a credit card is necessary to redeem the offer, with no fees applied throughout the promotional period.

How to Use Free Perplexity Pro on Airtel

Step 1: Airtel customers may have received an email from team@mail.perplexity.ai detailing the new requirement for card information.

Step 2: Click on the “Update Card Information” link within the email, which will take users to the payment section.

Step 3: Users will then be prompted to provide credit or debit card details.

Step 4: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
