Vivo X200 Ultra and X200s Smartphones Launched in China

Vivo has officially unveiled the X200 Ultra and X200s smartphones in China, with starting prices of CNY 4,199 for the X200s (around ₹49,000) and CNY 6,499 for the X200 Ultra (approximately ₹76,000).

Overview of Vivo X200 Ultra

The Vivo X200 Ultra represents the next generation following the X100 Ultra released last year. It features an expansive 6.82-inch QHD+ LTPO AMOLED display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision, delivering a significant resolution of 3168×1440 pixels. The device has dimensions of 163.14 x 76.76 x 8.69 mm and weighs up to 232 grams.

Performance and Specifications

At its core, the Vivo X200 Ultra houses the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and offers configurations of up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM alongside a maximum of 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. It runs on Android 15, which includes Vivo’s custom OriginOS skin in China.

Camera Capabilities

In terms of photography, the Vivo X200 Ultra is equipped with an impressive 50MP primary camera featuring optical image stabilisation (OIS), complemented by a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 200MP periscope telephoto sensor. For selfies, it boasts a 50MP front camera, supported by Vivo’s VS1 AI and V3+ imaging chips, enabling 4K video recording at up to 120 frames per second.

Battery and Additional Features

This smartphone is powered by a robust 6000mAh battery that supports 90W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging. Additional features include an in-display 3D optical fingerprint sensor for secure authentication, an IP68/IP69 rating for water and dust resistance, as well as Hi-Res audio certification for an enhanced audio experience.

Overview of Vivo X200s

The Vivo X200s comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ BOE display offering a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a resolution of 2,800×1,280 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio, with an impressive peak brightness of 5,000 nits.

Performance and Specifications

Under the hood, the device is powered by the latest MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset and supports up to 16GB RAM with storage options of up to 1TB. It also operates on Android 15 with Vivo’s tailored OriginOS skin in China.

Camera Capabilities

For photography, the Vivo X200s features a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. Additionally, a 32MP camera is available on the front for high-quality selfies.

Battery and Additional Features

This phone is backed by a formidable 6,200mAh battery with support for 90W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging. It has dimensions of 160.01 x 74.29 x 7.99 mm and weighs around 205 grams. Other notable features include an in-display 3D optical fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking and an IP68/IP69 rating for water and dust resistance.

Availability of Vivo X200 Series in India

Currently, there is no information regarding the availability of these smartphones in India. Historically, Vivo has not launched the X100 Ultra in India, which could indicate a similar fate for the X200 Ultra in the region.
