Vivo V60 Launch Announced in India

Vivo has introduced the V60 in India, marking the evolution from the V50 that was released earlier this year. This smartphone is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and features a Zeiss-supported triple rear camera system. It also boasts IP68 and IP69 ratings for excellent dust and water resistance.

Vivo V60 Pricing and Availability

The Vivo V60 is available starting at ₹36,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant. The 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB configurations are priced at ₹38,999 and ₹40,999 respectively. The premium 16GB + 512GB model is available for ₹45,999. Potential buyers can choose from colour options such as Auspicious Gold, Mist Grey, and Moonlit Blue. Pre-orders are currently open, with sales commencing on August 19 through the Vivo India e-store, leading e-commerce platforms, and selected offline retailers.

Display and Specifications

The device features a 6.77-inch 1.5K quad-curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,080×2,392 pixels, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate and reaching a local peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits. It is accompanied by up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM and offers up to 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Operating on Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15, the Vivo V60 is promised four years of major OS updates along with six years of security enhancements.

AI Features and Camera Setup

The software incorporates several AI tools, including AI Image Expander, AI Smart Call Assistant, AI Captions, and AI-enabled spam call blocking.

The rear camera system includes a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor with optical image stabilization, a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultrawide camera. The front-facing camera, also 50MP, is designed for high-quality selfies and video calls. Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording.

Battery and Connectivity

The Vivo V60 is powered by a robust 6,500mAh battery that supports 90W wired fast charging. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C. Additionally, the device features an in-display fingerprint sensor for secure access.

Dimensions and Weight

The Mist Grey model measures 163.53×76.96×7.53mm and weighs 192g. The Auspicious Gold and Moonlit Blue variants are slightly thicker, measuring 7.65mm and 7.75mm, with weights of 200g and 201g respectively.
