Leap India Secures Rs 371.3 Crore in Pre-IPO Placement

Leap India, a pioneering supply chain solutions provider backed by KKR, has successfully raised Rs 371.3 crore in a pre-IPO placement. This funding round included investment from Gamnat Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of the Singapore-based sovereign wealth fund GIC, as well as hedge fund Dymon Asia Multi-Strategy Investment (Singapore), and promoter Sunu Mathew, just a day prior to the commencement of its public offering.

According to a public notice released by Leap India, the company has allocated 2.33 crore equity shares at an individual price of Rs 159. In this round, Gamnat Pte Ltd emerged as the leading investor, contributing Rs 280 crore for 1.76 crore shares. Additionally, Dymon Asia Multi-Strategy Investment invested Rs 50 crore, while Matyas Possessiones Private Limited, controlled by promoter Sunu Mathew with a 99% ownership, injected Rs 23 crore.

Details of Leap India’s Upcoming IPO

Leap India has recently submitted its red herring prospectus (RHP) for a noteworthy Rs 2,480 crore initial public offering. This offering is designed to include a fresh issue of Rs 480 crore along with an offer for sale of Rs 2,000 crore by existing shareholders. The IPO is set to launch on August 7 and is set to conclude on August 11.

Utilisation of Fresh Capital

The proceeds from this capital raising will primarily be allocated toward repaying borrowings, financing capital expenditures for the acquisition of pallets, crates, and intermediate bulk containers, as well as for general corporate purposes.

Leap India’s Operational Growth

Established in 2013, Leap India operates an innovative asset pooling platform, which allows enterprises to lease reusable pallets, crates, and containers instead of owning them outright. As of March 31, 2026, the company managed a remarkable 14.7 million pooled assets across over 10,100 customer touchpoints throughout the country.

For the fiscal year ending March 2026, Leap India reported an impressive 57% year-on-year increase in operating revenue, climbing to Rs 730 crore from Rs 466 crore in FY25. Simultaneously, its profits soared over 70% to reach Rs 63 crore.
